ORIGINS AND AIMS
SHIKAR GROUP started out in 2004 as an international executive talent consulting firm specializing in recruiting and assessing top talent at board of directors, executive management and key staff level.
The founders’ aim was to redefine the notion of performance in executive search: rather than simply help companies find executives, they wanted to bring sustained value to the client’s organization even after completion of the hiring process. To reflect this fundamental attitude, they created a unique business model and chose a name that represents what the company stands for: SHIKAR.
The name “SHIKAR” derives from the Sanskrit, and means “hunter” and “guide”.
SHIKAR GROUP helps you not only hunt down the right candidates, but serves as a guide during the candidate’s first twelve months of employment to ensure that they are fully integrated, contributing to your business performance and organizational culture, and exploiting their personal potential to the benefit of your organization.
Accordingly, we designed a pricing model that gives us a firm financial incentive to go beyond merely finding and placing the right executive talent: a substantial portion of our fee is linked to the candidate’s successful integration twelve months after hiring.
